02 - PROCESS
A brand new white helmet is perfect for us but not essential, used is fine and vintage is great. Whatever you have your helmet is carefully prepared to ensure a flawless finish. This includes cleaning, sanding, and priming the surface. Precise templating and masking are then applied to map out the design before any paint is sprayed.
We combine expert techniques with premium American colour, the design is built layer by layer. From bold base coats to intricate details, each element is applied with precision to achieve a truly unique result.
Once the artwork is complete, multiple layers of clear coat are applied to protect the design and give it a deep, durable finish. The helmet is then cut smooth and polished for a professional, long-lasting shine. Alternatively you might want a matt finish which also looks stunning, anything is possible.
03 - PRICING
Each job is unique and helmet painting is labour intensive. 30 to 60 hrs can easily be spent on a complex design. We are a small outfit, keen to get your custom so you probably won’t find an equivalent quality service and finish for a better price.
Expect costs in the region of £400 - £800 plus delivery. And no the helmet itself is not included!

WHO WE ARE
My name is Rich May owner of Race-Line Design established 2023. I have 25 years experience working within the fine art sculpture trade and a BA Hons Contemporary Craft degree.
I have always been a creative person but my flip side is motocross. I have raced dirt bikes on and off my whole life and I love everything there is about it especially a nice looking crash helmet.
